Over the past number of years we have had many questions asked at our Market Stall at the Fernvale Markets.

Here are  just a few of them.

Q I have been feeling very uncomfortable in my bedroom and in fact I feel like I am being haunted. I really don’t feel like I want to be in there, let alone sleep in there, but I have to as I have nowhere else to go. What can I do?

A Thoroughly clean your room and take everything out, smudge your room, and bring your things back in, and if necessary get rid of anything no longer needed or wanted. Next, grid your room, this is done by placing a Black Tourmaline in each corner. It could also be beneficial to put a Black Kyanite under your bed.

Q I am currently doing exams, are there any stones that can help me?

A Gold Tigers Eye is an excellent companion for sitting exams and taking tests. Yellow Apatite overcomes lack of concentration and inefficient learning. Fluorite encourages quick thinking and supports concentration.

Q I find it hard to study, is there a stone that will assist with this?

A Fluorite is an excellent learning assistant as it organizes and processes information. It provides a link between what is already known and what is being learnt. It helps to absorb new information and promotes quick thinking. It also helps with concentration. Howlite will strengthen memory and stimulate desire for knowledge.

Q Stress is my problem, is there something I can do about it?

A To alleviate stress, relaxation is your best antidote. Lay down in a comfortable out-stretched position. Take eight Amethyst points and lay them around your body, pointed inward and about a hand span away from your body. Place one between and slightly below your feet, one above your head, two at your neck, two at your hips, and two at your ankles. Close your eyes and relax for ten minutes or so, but twenty would be better. You can also set them round your bed and leave them overnight as you sleep. Also carry an Amethyst tumble stone in your pocket, or wear some Amethyst jewellery and put a cluster in your work or study area.

Q I am told that taking crystal healing is purely superstitious and psychosomatic nonsense and that I am better off with modern medicine. What do you think?

A It’s all a matter of opinion and is no more superstitious nonsense than believing that having highly toxic and noxious chemicals coursing through your body is going to heal you.

Q Are rough or natural stones better than polished stones for healing?

A This really comes down to personal choice and to a certain extent the school you went to. Overall I find little to no difference in the efficiency of rough or polished stones in healing, except for Malachite, being toxic is best used as a polished stone and its energy is greatly enhanced when polished.

Q What does cryptocrystalline mean?

A Cryptocrystalline refers to a crystal or gemstone structure that it is composed of crystals that are so fine they cannot be seen as distinct particles under normal magnification.
