Crystal Christmas – Decorate with Crystals to Bring Joy.

Everywhere you go at the moment you see the trappings for Christmas have well and truly made their way into the shops. Suddenly you get this

wake-up call that the end of the year is fast approaching and perhaps you had better start to do something about it. If you’re wanting a crystal Christmas, maybe you better gather your crystals and be ready to put them to good use.

Christmas is also a popular time for family gatherings and celebrations with friends. Most of the time the goodwill shared within the group is enough to maintain a light and hearty cheerfulness. However, close proximity and the help of too much celebrating can create some unwanted aggravation.  So this is probably one of the best times in the year to enlist some help from our friends in the Crystal Kingdom. They will help to ensure peace, goodwill, love, harmony and co-operation at our gatherings.

With a little imagination, I am sure you can come up with a number of creative ways to display crystals among your decorations too. Also allowing them to share their good energies and blessings to help produce an environment of connection and joy.

Nearly all crystals would be suitable in one way or another. So see what you have among your collection and if you feel certain stones are what you want to use, but you don’t know why – just go with them. You can never beat those internal or gut feelings.

Crystal Christmas Ideas.

Here are a few ideas for your crystal Christmas you might like to consider:–

Gather a collection of tumbled stones and put them in wire cages. You can use these to decorate your tree. Or you could join them together, strung out at intervals to make hangings. You could also place them above doorways or suspend them across a room.

Remember the childhood delight in discovering a threepenny piece in your plum pudding or Christmas cake? Why not substitute with small tumbled crystals. (Not too small and don’t forget to inform your guests that they are in there). This will recreate the joy of discovery and also leave them with a magical little gift of nature.

Decorate and provide entertainment with a ‘Zen garden’. Fill a largish tray with clean sand; add some crystals and a toy rake. Rake out the sand, perhaps draw some meaningful symbol and arrange the crystals into a thoughtful display. The activity is quite relaxing and expressive, often revealing hidden insight. You can encourage your guests to play and express themselves in art form. You can also use their artworks as central and interactive displays.

Scatter crystals around your dining table to add colour and revitalizing energy to your festivities.

Frankincense and myrrh incense will radiate the appropriate seasonal aromas. But once again the fragrances that you find the most pleasing are the ones to use.

My Special Crystal Christmas Punch.

Family and friends can’t seem to get enough of my special Christmas punch. Because, not only does it taste great, it has secret ingredients that contribute to its flavour and zing: A handful of crystals – Hematite, Clear Quartz, Rose Quartz, Amethyst and Garnet. Add these to whatever your favourite punch happens to be.

Candles at this time of year contribute a sense of ritual and ceremony and provide soft and subtle lighting that is conducive to friendly interchange.

We are sure you can also come up with a whole lot more ideas to bring about a great environment for your celebrations.

Here’s a little ceremony for those who are game!

A Crystal Christmas Game.

We learnt this game from a friend of ours. He assures us it brings a special closeness and understanding between the participants. He has this ritual with his family and some close friends sometime between Christmas and New Year. It is based on the talking stick, with a large Clear Quartz Point or generator filling this role. Anyone who does not wish to participate is asked to go for a walk, while the rest of them complete their intercourse.

The participants sit in a circle and each person gets a turn. The person holding the crystal has the floor. And they are not to be interrupted until they hand the crystal talking stick on. This is their opportunity to express whatever is on their mind, or in their heart, in a loving and open and truthful way. Before commencing all have agreed to listen and not interrupt. They also agree to be open, to suspend judgement and to really listen and hear what is being shared. This is not a time for condemnation or having a go at anyone.

Great truths often get revealed and understanding and healing are usual. Courage mixed with love enters into the mix also. Buried hurts often get revealed as well. BUT and this is the beauty of this circle and this crystal talking stick. All participants have agreed to stay in integrity with its purpose. Love, respect, honour and understanding for each other, are the rewards.

Sometimes this is very hard to take, even as lovely as it is. Sometimes you learn things about yourself you would rather hide, and this is why I say it is for those who are game.
