The range of Sacred Scent perfumed oils are Australian made from the highest grade, quality ingredients. These perfumed oils are free from chemical dyes and are made using pure essential oils and resins.

One lady I know dilutes her favorite oil and uses it as an air freshener and body spray. (You need to use a solubiliser to do this).

Christmas buying, here are some gift ideas:

Call me biased, that’s ok by me, but I reckon any of the products on our site would make terrific Christmas presents and can meet all budget needs, from tight to expansive. For just a couple of dollars you could give the tactile feel and visual impact of a couple of tumble stones, or the exotic fragrance of a packet or two of incense, or perhaps a bottle of perfumed oil. Children of the seventies would savour and reminisce with Spiritual Sky oils, while today’s generation has a new range of their own in Sacred Scent oils. And of course the two do intermix.

For a little bit more, why not go with a salt lamp, a chunk of rose quartz, an amethyst cluster or a ‘crystal bible’. Perhaps an electric oil burner could fill the bill or something from our CD collection.

For the more expansive budget, most people would really love to get an amethyst geode or any woman would be pleased to receive a moldavite or a chakra pendant set in Stirling silver. Some of us men involved in the healing arts wouldn’t mind one either.

Stone of the month.

For all those born in the month of December, your Birthstone is Turquoise.

This stone is becoming increasingly rare and costly. It is an opaque mineral consisting essentially of phosphates and has a colour range from apple-green (Chinese & African) to the popular sky blue colour (the Americas). One of the first gemstones to be mined and utilized in healing, Turquoise has long been prized for its intense colours, which vary greatly, depending on the quantities of iron and copper that are found in it. 

Turquoise is a complicated, pernickety gemstone. Just the right type of minerals must be in just the right place for a very long time (millions of years) before turquoise is finally created.

The Egyptians prized Turquoise as a Life Stone and it is highly revered in Tibet where it is carried throughout one’s entire life.

A truth stone, it symbolizes a time to be honest with yourself. This stone reminds you to walk your talk.

Turquoise is also a protective stone and has been used throughout the ages for protective amulets. Today it is believed to protect against unwanted outside influences and pollutants in the atmosphere.

Turquoise promotes self realisation. It assists creative problem solving and calms the nerves when speaking in public. It stabilises mood swings and brings inner calm. Turquoise is an excellent stone for overcoming exhaustion, depression or panic attacks. It helps us communicate clearly what we want, and to then be able to communicate our desires to others in a way they can understand.

Turquoise is good crystal to wear when you have decisions to make. Use to increase your creativity and speak your truth without fear, and to dissolve self-sabotage and allow for self-expression. Can also help you get more in tune with others.

Turquoise facilitates meditation and allows us to perceive information psychically. Turquoise centres and harmonises while revitalising. It aligns the chakras, brings peace of mind and creative expression and opens us up to loving communication.

One of the most versatile of the power stones, which is why Native Americans honor it. It strengthens and tones the entire body. It is an excellent healing and grounding stone that helps to develop your natural powers and is believed to bring wisdom and is said to truly reflect the individual carrying or holding it.

Turquoise is a Master Healer and can be placed on all the chakras.  Turquoise works at the throat Chakra enhancing communication skills and can be beneficial to the thyroid and the voice.

Enhances healing and immune function; it protects and detoxes, while it tones and strengthens the entire body. Aids muscle and tissue regeneration and relaxes cramps. It relieves headache and is beneficial for the circulation and respiratory systems. Fights viral infections and soothes stomach problems.

1)  Use your oil in an oil burner.

4)  Add a few drops to potpourri and floral arrangements around your home.

5)  A few drops on a cloth placed in the dryer will give your clothes a beautifully fresh fragrance.

The World Drum Gathering at ‘Akasha Keep’

The morning had arrived, The World Drum was at our place “Akasha Keep”, Lynn handed me the drum in its protective case. Upon opening the case I could immediately feel the energy from the drum. Before taking out her out of the case, I unpacked the cloth which the drum sits on when not in use. This in itself had great energy and was beautiful in its simple design. As I held the drum for the first time I could feel lots of positive energy from all who had held it before us. It was a privilege and an honour to hold the drum and have her at our centre and home.

As I handed the drum to Ron, you could sense that he was already picking up on her energies by the way he handled her with great respect and an appearance of wonder. “This is indeed a powerful drum,” he said.

Crystal Tips and Techniques.

Turquoise Healing Elixir

Add a few Turquoise crystals to a glass container of water and sit it outdoors overnight where the moon can shine on it and then so that the morning sun may shine upon it. That evening poor the elixir into your bath water, then get in, relax and allow the healing energies to work on your body.

This same elixir can be used to soak a sprained or pulled muscle and help cut or damaged tissues to heal. Drink it to strengthen your immune system so you can fight off viruses and infections.

For headaches, place a cloth soaked in the elixir on your forehead until the pain goes away.

Do you have a speaking engagement coming up? Sleeping with a turquoise crystal taped to your neck (we recommend Micropore tape or a regular band-aid) during the night and then wearing one on a chain around your neck during the day will ensure your ability to communicate is at its utmost.

Improving your car’s performance.

Place in your car, a reasonably sized clear quartz point that has been cleansed and dedicated to maintaining your car in good operating order and keeping it safe. A good place for this is in the ash tray (assuming you are not using it). You may be surprised at the way it now runs smoothly and efficiently.

Likewise, I have had success with a small clear quartz point taped onto my fuel line to improve fuel economy. Make sure it is pointing in the direction of flow – I’m sure you don’t want the reverse. Keep a before and after log to prove this to yourself and sceptical friends.
